Chaucer Foods is very proud to announce it has won Mid-Market Team and Social Responsibility Team of the year for Yorkshire and North East at the BVCA Management Team Awards 2016. These awards celebrate excellence in UK businesses backed by private equity and venture capital, and provide a platform for management teams across the country to demonstrate their contribution to the UK economy.
Commenting on the Mid-Market award, judges said that “Andy Ducker has built a strong management team at Chaucer. They have done an excellent job in growing this business both by broadening its global customer base and by investing heavily in the supplier and processing side of the business, notably in the US.”
It was Chaucer’s work with farmers in the developing world that impressed the judges and helped them win the Social Responsibility award: “Through their farming programs they engage with suppliers in South America, Africa and China, providing not just firm commitments but also education, training and seed stock.”
Andy Ducker, commented: “We are delighted to have won these awards, which are a testament to the hard work of our team and their dedication to being the best at what we do.”
Winners of the Regional awards will now be entered into a national final, and announced at the BVCA gala dinner in December.
